We will only be timing non-geared, non-motorized transportation methods. Rollerblades, rollerskates, SUP boards, skateboards, longboards, etc. Checkout What is a Rally for more info on the timing.
Expected Skill Level
At minimum, you should have the ability to stop yourself before losing control of your board. This means you must know your limits when going down a hill, and be able to stop, especially at intersections, or on rough surfaces.
A speed of at least 7 mph is expected during the first segments of the rides to stay on schedule. While the event aims to be a no-drop event with many moments to regroup, the ride will continue for the event to proceed as planned if needed.
Bring a light for Friday's social ride if you want to ride back. Note that trails are lit, but it may be dark.
You must have registered and signed the liability waiver to join the group, which includes agreeing to wear a helmet.
Food and water will be available along the route, with lunch or brunch stops in the city both days.
Bring money, cash, a cellphone for navigation, and whatever you might need as if you were on a solo ride.
There will be various points throughout the ride where you can bail if needed and be picked up.
Plan to be self sufficient; however, there will be a longboarder with a sag wagon and backup board.
Finalized gps routes will be posted before the event and to the group chat once registered. The most current iterations of the routes can be found in the ride details webpage. GPS files and routes can be downloaded, or viewed using the RideWithGps app.
We will have multiple cars to help shuttle riders if needed before and after the event. Once registered coordinate with the organizers as needed via email or the group chat.
