Dane County Air Routes
Far AWAY, major airport, likely most affordable. There is a three hour bus that regularly runs from O'hare to Madison (Lake Street), every two hours. It is a 2 hour drive via car.

Madison's local low-stress airport. Similar in size to Greenville-Spartanburg, Ithaca, Palm Springs, etc.
We can help shuttle riders coming in here. In general, we believe if you can find decent flights here it is worth it.
We will be available to help with shuttling during arrival and departures Friday, Saturday night, and Sunday, as well as to-and-from the start and end point of rides.
There is solid public transit in the City of Madison, you likely will not need a car.
Recommended hotels are in areas with good access to food and groceries.
The city is easily bike able, with B-Cycle e-bikes available to use. Contact us for more info on bikes for spouses, etc.
In the interest of affordability, the event start is outside of Madison at the Velo-UnderRound. The listed recommended hotels are in Fitchburg, outside the city, a 2.5 mile skate on path to velo-underound. There is also a B-cycle rental station there, if you bring a partner who would like to bike.
IF you would like a more fun tourist experience, although more expensive, we would recommend staying in one of the various hotels in downtown Madison.
